Loose Tooth Downtown Dental Care OR 97205When we think of having loose teeth, we think of young children losing their baby teeth, but if you have a loose tooth as an adult, you need to come see us as soon as possible so we can get you all fixed up.

You may be asking yourself some questions that we hope to answer before you get to the office.

Why Do I Have A Loose Tooth?

The most common reasons for loose teeth in adults is periodontal disease or trauma. In either case we need to take a look and determine the exact reason, so we can treat it immediately. If you haven't been to the dentist in a long time, there is even more need to call our office right away if you have a loose tooth, so we can save it.

Can I Get a Loose Tooth Fixed?

Yes, we can fix your loose tooth if you come to see us right away. Don't wait for fear that it will hurt. We will make you comfortable and our staff will take care of you.

There are two ways in which a loose tooth can be fixed. With splinting, where the tooth is bonded to another tooth or with a deep cleaning of the gums. Given a chance to heal, their grip on the loose tooth will improve.

Should I Try to Pull A Loose Tooth Out?

No, do not attempt to pull it out. Whatever the reason is behind your loose tooth, we do everything we can to save it. Even if you have taken a blow to the face while playing sports and the tooth is dangling, there is a chance to save it.

The most important thing you can do if you have a loose tooth as an adult is to come to our office immediately!
